Hi! My name is Shannon and I specialize in working with adults with depression or anxiety, or are navigating through difficult life transitions. I also have extensive experience working with clients who are survivors of trauma or substance use and addiction. I work from a person-centered approach, meaning you are the expert on your experiences. In my work with clients, I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, in order to collaborate on ways to help you achieve your goals. I also utilize mindfulness-based strategies to help you work towards acceptance of your experiences and yourself.

I received my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Graduating in 2016 and becoming licensed in 2019, I have formal training from CLARE Foundation in substance use and the treatment of mood disorders. I continued gaining experiences working with diverse populations in South Los Angeles while working for Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, where I served as a primary therapist and supervisor for 5 years. I now live in the Bay Area and serve as a clinician at Two Chairs in addition to working with clients through my practice.

My passion for mental health treatment stems from my passion for social justice and the celebration of diversity. The values of inclusion, openness, and acceptance are foundational in my work with clients. I also believe that all clients deserve to see a therapist with whom they identify with. That's why I always make it clear that if I'm not the right fit for you, there is someone out there we can find who is. I am honored to walk beside anyone who chooses the path of vulnerability and bravery to improve their life and I would love to join you on your journey.
